State NA Convention

WSNAC is a weekend long celebration of recovery from the disease of addiction. While this is a celebration of NA recovery, it is important to understand that WSNAC is not Narcotics Anonymous. NA is a fellowship of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. NA members meet regularly to help each other to stay clean by working the Twelve Steps of Narcotics Anonymous. The Twelve Traditions of Narcotics Anonymous are the guidelines that unite the groups and assures that recovery is available to every addict who attends NA meetings. WSNAC adheres to the Twelve Traditions and provides a forum to share the principles of the twelve steps.

During 1985-86 WSNAC Inc. was established with a board of directors to coordinate legal and financial matters and to ensure year-to-year continuity. The board is made up of representatives from previous WSNAC committees and directors at large from the NA community. After costs are paid for the convention, any excess funds are passed along to WSNAC Inc. to be used for future WSNACs and to ensure solvency of the convention.

The convention includes recovery meetings 24 hours daily, workshops on recovery related topics, three keynote speakers who share their recovery experiences, strengths and hopes. There are also dances, banquets and fellowship. There is convention memorabilia for sale and and an auction that features items from other NA functions, conventions and items created by individual recovering addicts.
